Skip the tedious hours of hand-cutting formers and wing ribs! This premium Short Kit provides the core structural backbone for Peter Rake’s legendary 1/9th scale Sopwith Pup, originally featured in Flying Scale Models magazine. It’s the perfect way to fast-track your next traditional balsa build.

What's Included in This Kit

  • Precision Laser-Cut Wood Pack: High-grade, hand-selected balsa and aircraft ply sheets containing all the complex curved shapes—including wing ribs, fuselage formers, firewalls, and cowl rings—cleanly cut and ready for assembly.
  • Full-Size Printed Plan Sheet: A crisp, high-resolution physical print of the original 36-inch plan, delivered rolled (never folded) so you can build right over the layout.

What You Will Need to Complete (Not Included)

As a traditional short kit, you will need to supply standard hobby items to finish the airframe:

  • Wire for the landing gear and cabane/interplane struts.
  • Your choice of lightweight covering material (e.g., Litespan, Oracover, or tissue).
  • Power & Radio Gear: Small brushless motor (150W–200W), ESC, micro servos, and a 3-channel radio system.

Model Specifications

  • Wingspan: 36 inches (approx. 914 mm)
  • Scale: 1/9 Scale
  • Control: 3-Channel (Rudder, Elevator, Throttle)
  • Flight Characteristics: Exceptional park-flyer manners, highly stable, and realistic in the air.
