Olympic 650 Electric R/C Glider
The Olympic 650 Electric combines the classic smoothness of a glider with the convenience of electric power. A perfect introduction to R/C flight, offering stable handling, efficient climb performance, and elegant soaring capability.
SKU: OLYMPIC650-E-RC-GLIDER
The Olympic 650 Electric R/C Glider is a beautifully balanced electric-powered sailplane, ideal for pilots seeking the calm precision of a glider with the flexibility of self-launch capability. Designed as an evolution of the original Olympic 650, this version accommodates a lightweight electric power system for easy takeoffs and extended flight sessions.
Built from precision laser-cut balsa and lite plywood, this short kit provides the perfect foundation for a classic R/C build. The Olympic 650 Electric retains the same forgiving flight characteristics as its pure glider counterpart — smooth, predictable handling and excellent thermal lift response — now enhanced by an efficient brushless motor setup.
- Laser-cut short kit for precise construction and strength
- Electric power conversion with optional folding prop setup
- Lightweight balsa and plywood design for responsive performance
- Two-piece wing for easy storage and transport
- Ideal for both beginner and intermediate pilots
- Compatible with 3-channel radio systems (Rudder, Elevator, Throttle)
Note: This is a short kit. Additional materials such as balsa sheeting, spars, covering, electronics, motor, and servos are required to complete the model. If used outside its intended flight profile (e.g., high-power setups or aerobatics), builders should assess and reinforce structural components accordingly.
Recommended Setup:
- Brushless motor: 2208–2212 class
- Propeller: 9x6 folding
- ESC: 20–30A
- Battery: 3S 1300–1500mAh LiPo
